Check AI output before using it
Use AI to support drafting or organisation, then verify facts, context, permissions and privacy before acting.
AI tools can help with an early draft, summary or outline. They can also produce persuasive errors, miss context or invent information. Treat the output as a proposal to review, not as a source.
Before use, verify names, dates, figures and technical statements against a reliable source. Check the text against the customer, audience and agreed tone. Remove personal or confidential information that is not needed. Confirm rights to source material and have an accountable person review the final result.
Decide in advance which data may enter a tool, how it is handled and who can access it. Personal data or AI use with significant effects may require additional assessment. Seek privacy or legal advice appropriate to the situation.
